Bug Description

Ubuntu Feisty on amd64, fully updated. Keyboard shortcuts fail to increase volume when it was previously muted. Increasing the volume via applet still works.

How do you mute the sound? What soundcard and track are selected to the sound capplet?

The sound can be muted anyway. I should add I am using asus laptop. Soundcard is HDA NVidia (Alsa mixer) and as a track to be controlled via keyboard is selected PCM.
Now, there is another problem. Today I tried it again and there is no OSD showing the volume level while adjusting the volume on keyboard. The volume is changed, but the progress isn't shown.

This seems to be resolved now. There is no longer problem with increasing the volume on keyboard, also the OSD works. This puzzles me, I don't know where could have been the problem? Anyway, now it's OK.
