dvdauthor crashes during k9copy copy

Bug Description

Binary package hint: dvdauthor

After running for ~1 hr, copying dvd to disk [lots of room], program crashed.

This is a new installation of Edgy on a HP dv6150us notebook. Not everything runs yet.

Crash report will be attached.

I've experienced what looks like a very similar problem.

I'm using k9copy as a front end for dvdauthor. I've noticed this only happens when backing up certain DVDs consistently; it appears to be modern DVDs with many tracks. The first titleset is authored, and the application crashes after the VOBUS is fixed.

 I'm attaching a screenshot as well as a crash report, as it describes the complicated strucutre of the DVD well.

I'm running feisty and launched k9copy from terminal.

Here's the output to console, it's shortened, but the error is at the end.

Can it be related to this bug?
