Bug Description

In the "open file" or "browse file" windows together with other disks (partitions, removable drives ecc) appears also a disk named "dev" that is /dev/.static/dev directory. This entry appears instead of "Filesystem".

This problem doesn't occurs in Nautilus though.

I.E.: In Firefox, click on "File", then "Open file" and check the items listed on the left (Places).

Same problem here.

/dev appears instead of "filesystem" even in the 'find' application of gnome.

I also noticed that /dev appears only when system successfully shows other media (in my case one partition and one external hard disk) in the "browse file".

I got it also in nautilus.

In /proc/mounts
there's a spurious entry:
/dev/sda9 / ext3 rw,data=ordered 0 0
/dev/sda9 /dev/.static/dev ext3 rw,data=ordered 0 0

and ls /dev/.static/dev returns files in dev not in /

so may it's a linux issue or a initramfs one (/dev/.static/dev is mounted in initramfs).

I noticed that this "disk" appears after I restart dbus.

I have to restart it to visualize my partitions on the desktop.
