All other kmail crashes I found reported seem to be related to IMAP which I am *NOT* using. My mail is stored in maildir folders.

I am running version 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu4 of kmail on feisty.

Looks like this was a problem in my mail store. A mailer should not crash, even with a broken mailstore, but it seems to be a local problem only.
