Binary package hint: gaim

I've clicked an irc:// url and after some time got crash report. I have no IRC accounts in gaim. Gaim was not even launched.

Thanks for your bug report. Can you please attach a complete crash report for that crash? Yours does not seem to contain a CoreDump

I got the same (clicked on irc:/ link "visit us in #launchpad on irc.freenode.net ") and gaim crashed. There was nothing open to create a backtrace.

This happened in KDE/Kubuntu Feisty (herd4, fully patched) and I have Konversation installed.

** the KDE default for this should be Konversation (even though I do have Gaim installed) **

I too got this crash this morning but Gaim wasn't running; Gajim was running but didn't crash at all.

This should be fixed in Pidgin 2.0.0.

This crash came up after Wired (installed from Ubuntu Studio repositories) crashed; gaim was unaffected. (yes i am running gaim now but gajim in the last comment that i left)
