Thanks for reporting this bug. It needs reporting upstream to get it fixed.

Upstream bug => Invalid in packaging
Incomplete upstream as it needs a upstream bug reference => Incomplete

note however that this is not an implementation bug per se in upstream as it works as intended: The line is a border at the end of the paragraph. Given that this is not meeting natural expectations, you should get Libreoffice User Experience onboard.

Marking to Opinion as they are not being direct to Brainstorm but upstream for a request to change the current behavior, which certainly needs more discussion.

Thanks for bugreport

It is because Writer has no character "Horizontal line". Instead, used paragraph with enabled bottom border.

For remove unneeded horizontal lines:
1. Place text cursor on that line or select several lines
2. Format->Paragraph or right mouse click ->Paragraph
3. tab "Borders"
4. on top left on dialog "Paragraph" click first square, border disappears
5. click Ok.

Dear bug submitter!

Due to the fact, that there are a lot of NEEDINFO bugs with no answer within the last six months, we close all of these bugs.

To keep this message short, more infos are available @ https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/NeedinfoClosure#Statement

Thanks for understanding and hopefully updating your bug, so that everything is prepared for developers to fix your problem.

Yours!

Florian

Probably works as documented (as the line is at the end of the paragraph, but is rather unintuitive. CC'ing Astron, to that this to dicussion with UX.

Resolving as duplicate, because the subject matter is so similar. (The other bug relates more to undo, this one relates to removing the feature – but I tend to agree more with the other one...)
