Bug Description

I'm working on getting the old mozilla suite (source package mozila) removed from feisty.
gtk2hs build-depends on mozilla-dev.

gtk2hs FTBFS on feisty (see also http://people.debian.org/~lucas/logs/2007/02/01/ubuntu-rebuild/gtk2hs_0.9.10-2_feisty32.buildlog) so simply changing the build-depends doesn't work.

The current Debian package builds again and has also the build dependency on mozilla-dev fixed:

gtk2hs (0.9.10.5-1) unstable; urgency=low

   * New upstream version.
   * Fixed Haddock linking to GHC base docs.

gtk2hs (0.9.10.4-1) unstable; urgency=low

   * New upstream version.
   * Compiled for GHC 6.6. Thanks for Arjan Oosting <email address hidden> and
     <email address hidden>. Closes: #398227, #393600
   * Update depends from mozilla-dev to libxul-dev. Thanks for Emilio Jesus
     Gallego Arias <email address hidden>. Closes: #386610
   * Added packages libghc6-gtkglext-dev and libghc6-soegtk-dev and removed
     package libghc6-mogul-dev.
   * Removed libglib2.0-dev, libgtk2.0-dev and libcairo2-dev from Build-Depends.
   * debian/rules: using quilt instead of dpatch to handle debian/patches.

The changes are quite big, but look like they've been tested for quite a while already - last change is from "2006-01-07" - how does the upstream situation look? Would you agree to become bug contact for gtk2hs and liaise with upstream?

I can't tell you something about upstream as I don't need speak haskell. Therefore I wouldn't be of much help as a bug contact but I could look now and then at the bugs and try to resolve them with upstream (I don't have any contact with upstream yet).

gtk2hs was first uploaded to feisty and FTBFS as we already have ghc 6.6. There aren't any successfully build debs.

So this is more a new package than just a new upstream version? ;)

When considering that the current version FTBFS and that this blocks mozilla from beeing removed and we don't even have binary packages of this yet I'm fine updating...
