Beeping sound starts on D3C5105 after the end of installation process with Feisty herd 3 desktop CD

Bug Description

When installing Feisty herd 3 using the desktop CD on D3C5105, at the end on installation, the usual window that asks you to take out the cd and restart appeared. I clicked on "Restart now" and a loud beeping started coming out.

Reproduction steps:
1. Start the Herd 3 live CD
2. Select Start or Install Ubuntu
3. Installation done
4. Press "Restart now" and take out the cd

Expected result:
The computer should restart normally after pressing "Restart now".

Actual result
The computer starts giving a loud beeping noise after pressing "Restart now".

This sounds a lot like 80535, can you please investigate and provide info like where the sounds come from? Is there an update BIOS for this machine?

This bug is not quite the same as 80535. The beep for this bug occurs when pressing "Restart now" whereas the beep for the other bug seems to occur when xresprobe runs.

I tried to reproduce this bug again with a recent daily image, 20070319.1 and there is no beep when restarting after the desktop installation.

This bug seems to have gotten fixed with the latest updates so it can be closed.
