Bug Description

Using latest fglrx drivers for ATI, and the Beryl Release Candidate, and beryl-manager set to as a boot command- a crash is detected by Edgy, but manager stays 'alive'.

Beryl will not take over as windows manager unless the following command is given in the terminal:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa /usr/bin/beryl

This sounds like the lack of XGL not an actual bug in Ubuntu.

Are you using Beryl 0.2.0 RC1 or RC2.

It's a known buy in RC1, ubuntu-xgl was not built correctly in RC1 but works pefectly (for me) in RC2.

This can be followed here: http://www.pricechild.co.uk/ or beryl's offical buqtraq

Actually, as RCx is not an official ubuntu package - it's probably best not to discuss it here anyway.

Hello!

Please, report beryl bugs in the upstream tracker, as beryl isn't in Ubuntu.
