Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption. Could you try to get a valgrind log for it? (you can follow the instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that)

Almost same problem here - but here Evolution started correctly and crashed while checking for mail. I do my best to get a log but I think that I get first tomorrow enough time...

Same here, checking imap/ssl mail, trying to select a message and kaboom. No more window, nothing

I just had Evolution crashed, I opened it, it went to check for mail on two accounts, one is IMAP with SSL, the other was an exchage account using the built in exchange connector.

Damn I reproduced it 2-3 times but never under valgrind

Had previously done an adept automatic updater and did not reboot. This was done on 4/30/2007. I have Kopete running and a webpage up in Firefox and a Kopete chat screen up. Amorok playing music. Also running KDE at the moment (currently default log on). All I did was click on the evolution link in the internet menu. Normal pop. Saw inbox screen and went to crash screen. Just launched it again and all is well--go figure..

Directed here by Apport. For me this happened while I was running the Gnome desktop and installing the kubuntu-desktop with apt-get. One simple webpage open in ff.

We need to find a way to reproduce this so we can get a Valgrind log - clearly something's buggy - but what?!

Just saw this myself. “Invalid” isn't fair, changing to “Incomplete”. I’ll let you know if I can reproduce it under valgrind.
