Bug Description
Binary package hint: cupsys
Hi there,
I get this message before Synaptic opens - it shows no packages when opened
E: The package mfc440cncupswrapper needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report.
Inside /var/crash is:
_usr_lib_
I have been trying to set up a Brother printer MFC440CN which has linux support. I tried installing the drivers from the site which worked, but I could not see the printer in my printer list when I tried to find it on the network. I unistalled the printer. The problem arose. I had at some time tried testing a print page that didn't work and am not sure if that has caused a problem.
Thanks
This has nothing to do with CUPS. It is a package installation/ deinstallation problem of the Brother Debian package. Probably Brother's package is broken.
