Kadu 0.9.2 is quite old. Can you update to the newest stable version 0.10.1? Official kadu packages are available in Patryk's Cisek PPA (he is official kadu mainatiner in debian). PPA is available here: https://launchpad.net/~patryk-prezu/+archive/ppa
