It's reproduceable, it crashes on boot every time.
now with 2.6.20-9-generic kernel.

I've got the same. There are some logs

This appears to be the same as above. Apport reported the crash as soon as Gnome came up (following a reboot).

Followup report: I am not a programmer, but I ran valgrind on powertweakd (report attached) and found it interesting that several CRC checks failed. I hope this will help.
