Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings

About a month ago, I was not longer able to change the monitor resolution because the "Monitor & Display" module would not load.
This is true on 4 systems loaded with Kubuntu:
       2 Dell Optiplex DX150
       1 Dell laptop Inspiron 1200
       1 Dell Opiplex GX1
The message displayed was:

  The diagnositic is:
                  <This line was blank>
  Possible reasons:
    * Error occured during last KDE upgrade leaving an ophaned control module
    * You have old third party modules lying around

  Check carefully and remove module mentioned .....

I have tried removing and re-installing the kde-systemsettings module with NO improvement.
If there is a "third party" or orphaned control module, I know of no way to telling what it is, the diagnostic gives not clue.
