Bug Description

I believe that many experienced Linux Users still keep accessible references on Command-line Codes. I also believe that they are not the only ones who need those. New users need them so much more but many of them do not manage to do so. I am not sure but I think, the man code lists references, but I still believe that a GUI reference will work better.

Whenever a new user opens a Command-line Emulator, he/she will likely be shocked because of lack of knowledge with what to do with the Command-line. A resourceful user will search the Internet on how the Command-line works while other users could just panic or end up whining in the forums.

I suggest a GUI Command-line Reference on Terminal Emulators which will ask the users what they want to do and will show them the codes they need to do the job. For example, there would be a "Navigating the Terminal" option and will list the codes necessary for a user to "navigate" the terminal.

Thanks for your bug. I've committed a fix for this, by adding an article from the wiki to the "Advanced Topics" section. You can see the online article here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BasicCommands

I'm not sure if I stated my bug report well, but here is a more comprehensive way of putting it. What I meant by GUI Command-line code reference on terminal emulators is a code reference embedded on terminal emulators like the GNOME terminal. That way, the user does not have to use a browser to seek for codes because the terminal emulator already states all the codes he/she needs using the GUI of the terminal emulator.

An example of a GUI command-line code reference is a "action template." For example, the user wants to copy a file from x to y, the user just has to press the copy template and fill in the blanks to specify what to copy and where to copy it by specifying x and y. After specifying the required information, the information will be transferred to the command-line itself or something like that.
