Loading kdm is b0rked by none-existent file, post Dapper-->Feisty upgrade

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdm

kdm was unable to find the file, '/etc/X11/xserver/SecurityProfile' which, by the way, is non-existent even in Dapper. The result is that KDE will not load... and 'startx' is ineffectual, as well.

As per instructions, I invoked 'apt-get dist-upgrade' two times.

Thanks for this report. Do you still have this problem? Upgrading from Dapper to Feisty is not encouraged. It's strongly recommended to update to next version (so Dapper to Edgy and next Edgy to Feisty), because otherwise the upgrade may have problem.

I no longer have this problem. I finally did get a good upgrade... Then the drive crashed, and I found the only good backup was of Dapper, so I have come full circle.
