XP cannot see Fawn herd4 Samba share

Bug Description

Binary package hint: samba

Ubuntu can see Win XP SP2 share fine but Win XP SP2 can not see Samba share! XP network WORKGROUP neighbourhood correctly shows Ubuntu PC as a peer member but when I click on it to see the share all I get is a Windows login in challenge window.

Ubuntu Fiesty Fawn herd4 ( installed all available patches after initial Ubuntu install )

I am using orginal unmodified /usr/share/samba/smb.conf file

Samba version 3.0.24

below from /var/log/samba/log.mike_pc

Thank you for your bug report. The default security mode for samba is to ask a login and password, which is the reason why you have the windows login.

Do you still have this problem the latest version of feisty ?
