Bug Description

Binary package hint: krusader

I'm using gnome & Dapper up-to-date. I'm not sure if this still is an issue in Feisty but there is no bug report on this that I could find.

krusader lists "ftp" as the only possible net connection protocol. To reproduce:
1. install krusader
2. launch, go to "New Net Connection"
3. click on drop down protocol list

expected:
a list of protocols that should include sftp at the very least

actual result:
ftp listed as the only protocol...

also, if the fix is found to be easy enough, can you backport the fix to Dapper as well? thanks

Cannot confirm in Kubuntu Feisty. I'm seeing ftp, smb, fish and sftp here.

Perhaps this is related to some missing KDE libraries on your system, which then should get added to Suggests/Depends for the krusader package.

This is part of bug #69016 - probably installing "kdebase-kio-plugins" fixes it.

"kdebase-kio-plugins" is listed in "Suggests".
