Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Xorg constantly uses about 25% of CPU time. Load even increases when Gnome Terminal is active.

Could you attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Ubuntu 7.04 (PPC)
Apple PowerBook G4 5,4 (1.5GHz powerpc)
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 (r300)

I can confirm this - it occurs when using Beryl although beryl CPU usage is low (2-5%) Xorg shows between 20-50% depending on what's running. Firefox for example, increases the load to around 30%.

This may be due to performance issues with the r300 driver. Attaching xorg log and xorg config
