Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

I have a bunch of Wavpack files created by Banshee by importing CDs. Banshee played these fine.

I removed the Banshee database, and re-imported my music, and all the wavpack files fail to import. All the MP3 and FLAC files import successfully, but none of the Wavpack files.

Banshee's "Import Errors" list has the message "An application error has occurred" and the full path of the wavpack file, once for each wavpack file I try to import.

Running Banshee from the terminal with the --debug option doesn't produce any more output, either on the terminal or in the Logged Events from the debug menu.

That's it.

Behaviour is the same with all three IO backends (unix, gnomevfs, systemio).

Additionally, Rhythmbox imports and plays the files correctly.

This seems to have been fixed sometime before 0.12.1+dfsg-3ubuntu2, probably with the external libtaglib-cil.
