Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.20

When I connect an usb-hub to the computer it is recognized for a short moment and after a few seconds it logs off.
Typing the command 'lsusb' in a terminal causes the usb hub to be recognized again. But just for a short moment again.

Did this ever work and if so, with which Ubuntu/kernel version? Try connecting to different ports on your machine. Also try "sudo modprobe -r ehci_hcd"

I seemed to have the same problem. modprob'ing ehci_hcd solved it for me. I know have it in /etc/modules and everything works fine as far as I can tell.

I just did wonder because it worked perfectly (that is including auto detection) in Edgy and suddenly stopped working with the first Feisty kernel I installed.

If it's any help: I have an nforce2 mainboard.

If there is any further information I could help with, please let me know.

That's odd, because your dmesg shows ehci_hcd.

Are you sure this is what fixed it?
