This clearly affects multiple users, and should have been in Precise already - or is there another way to do reliable shared storage with KVM?

The packages in my ppa works great so far for me.
I'm currently trying to port the package to Debian. It would then be imported to Ubuntu

I guess it will never be in the 12.04 repositories but I'm working on getting it into debian ASAP, it would then be in 12.10
If you really want to use it now, use a ppa or build the package yourself. See

For your information: I left Ubuntu on this one, for CentOS. If Ubuntu regards the enterprise as interesting, it would probably help to focus on clustering…

Thanks for reporting (and packaging this for Debian!)

Based on the dates here, it look like at landed a bit too late to be synced to the 12.04 release. However, I see that the package was synced shortly after and has been in Ubuntu since https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sanlock
