keyboard layout applet says "USA" when in Dvorak

Bug Description
On feisty, I added a keyboard layout applet to the control panel, with a choice of US English Dvorak and US English (ie qwerty) layouts. Regardless of which is selected, the panel applet always says "USA", which is rather unhelpful.
Strangely enough on another machine (upgraded from edgy) it does say "dvorak".

This does seem to be fixed now: it alternates between USA and USA2, which while not really helpful does give some indication.
