Bug Description

(This is using byobu-tmux in ppa:~byobu/ppa)

If I ctrl-f2 and then shift-f2, I am in the bottom right pane. Then I hit shift-left and then shift-right, and end up in the top right pane. If it's possible to remember the location, that would be nice to have.

This is a tough one. Not sure I'm going to be able to do much with this, except for document the behavior.

Note that there's a subtle difference between Shift-Up/Down/Left/Right and Shift-F3/F4. Shift-F3/F4 moves in more like a counterclockwise/clockwise manner (actually, it goes in the enumerated order of the windows). Shift-Up/Down/Left/Right does it's best to only move up/down or right/left, depending on the button pressed.

Unfortunately, there can be some ambiguity here. In Serge's example, tmux defaults to the "first" of the two splits on the right.

Note that tmux does have a "last-pane" option. But I don't think that's going to quite get us there...

I'm sorry Serge. I don't see a clear solution from tmux to solving this. If we do find a solution, I'll be happy to re-open this bug and fix it in the keybindings. But I don't see where tmux tracks this information such that I could use it :-( Sorry.
