Bug Description

Binary package hint: kde

Most of the time when plugging in or turning on my plugged in external drive which has both a FAT32 and an ext3 partition, only one of them is recognized and mounted by KDE.

Oops, should also be noted that it is visble with kde-hal-device-manager, and is not visible in media:/, the other partition is.

It's not always the same partition which is ignored. Sorry - not sure exactly which package this pertains to of the kde tree.

Sorry, I don't know what this "Nominate for release" thing is about.
However, I do want to vote for this bug - I do have the same Problem as Jason.
My USB HDD has a primary FAT32 partition, and an extended partition entry with two logical ext3 partitions. After plugging in the drive, the partitions are detected rather randomly. Sometimes, all three are mounted, but more often than not, only one or two of them are.
The other symptoms are similar as well: kde-hal-device-manager does show all partitions.
