Bug Description
Binary package hint: gdm
Using one of the "stock" Ubuntu kernels (2.6.17-10-generic or 2.6.17-11-generic), set up an encrypted user with cryptsetup and libpam-mount (to login using user password) using instructions such as these:
http://
Compile and install a custom kernel (such as the one provided by linux-source or a vanilla kernel). Use current config from /boot if you wish.
gdm will not log in the encrypted user on the new kernel, the encrypted volume mounts but there is a black screen and you are returned to the login screen. kdm or xdm both work. Booting the previous kernel and gdm works as expected.

Thank you for your bug. Using a non-official kernel, we don't have the ressources on that at the moment, marking wishlist
