Bug Description

Based on Jesse first shot at it. Make it accept file like object as well
like we do for file injection on server creation.

The test case would be better if it checked actual value of userdata that the server gets access to, but I'm not sure how to test that right now. Just ensuring that passing userdata doesn't cause an error seems adequate.
