apollon systray icon not in notification area applet

Bug Description
I installed apollon 0.9.4 from universe, and the systray icon is in it's own
fre-floating window instead of in the notification are applet on the GNOME
panel. I have no other KDE apps installed to check if it's just apollon or if
it's a deeper problem.
I tried to make the Component apollon but instead bugzilla loaded a page saying
I needed a component, when I hit back, the whole form was blank, rather than
just the component field.
