gpg signing key doesn't default to 'email' anymore

Bug Description

With the migration to config stacks, we seem to have lost the default of 'gpg_signing_key'.

It now defaults to None rather than the email address from the users' identity.

A workaround is to set the gpg_signing_key manually ("gpg_signing_key = 1EEF5276") or merge the attached branch.

Yup, lost in the default value handling, your fix is on the right track.

Will add tests and propose.

An another workaround is to set the gpg key from the command line with -Ogpg_signing_key=xxxxx
