I think I have narrowed down the problem, it seems to occur when running orca the screenreader (I do a lot of accessibility testing). It wasn't orca that crashed and I wasn't doing anything accessibility related at the time, just having accessibility turned on seems to trigger it. I will try it with accerciser and try and figure out who the bug belongs to.

Hello,
This issue occures for me also. I am using ubuntu 12.04 LTS. After running orca the screenreader unable to use openerp client. I have checked the client 6.0.3 and 6.1.1 version. "Fatal Python error: GC object already tracked".
I checked by closing and uninstalling ocra with no success.
Me then reinstalled python, python-gtk and all related applications check. Still issue persist.
Now my system have no ocra, but the issue made by it still persist.

if you go to system settings, universal access and turn off the screen reader there it will turn off desktop accessibility and the GTK client won't crash. Just stopping orca isn't sufficient, you have to run with at-spi turned off.

Thanks a lot Alan Bell.
When I checked the system settings - universal access, it was already turned off. I just turn on and then turn off. Now client is working perfect.
