Bug Description

A Linux Desktop featuring a traditional layout (Gnome 2), built from modern technology (Gnome Shell) and introducing brand new innovative features.

Cinnamon is a Linux desktop which provides advanced innovative features and a traditional user experience. The desktop layout is similar to Gnome 2. The underlying technology is forked from Gnome Shell.

The correct PPA is now : https://launchpad.net/~gwendal-lebihan-dev/+archive/cinnamon-stable (the other one isn't maintained anymore)

I've installed & selected Cinnamon as my desktop. I installed Cinnamon from the PPA and logged on Lubuntu 12.04. But then I tried to login with LXDE desktop & the desktop icons changed in appearance... Someone should prioritize finding bugs on Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, & Edubuntu with the Cinnamon desktop before releasing the package to the official repository.

I installed it via the PPA on 12.04 and it workds nicely . Hope it comes in the main distribution.
