Hi, I have same bug...
googleearth has no debug version...

I noticed that if I reinstall GE, it works, and if I remove /home/.googleearth (config folder), it also work...
More: if I'm running Beryl, it also works !!??!!
here is my xorg.conf and xorg.0.log

Thanks

I can't find googleearth dbg-package, and Xorg.0.log you have already...
If you explain how, I'll do it...

I didn't see a backtrace in the Xorg.0.log, so this may not be an xserver issue. Refiling with medibuntu assuming it is GoogleEarth specific.

Hi,

I just made a test package [*] of the new release of googleearth (4.1.7076.4458). Could you try to install it and report? If it fixes this issue, I'll release it for medibuntu feisty.

Thanks.

Sorry, still freezes...
I found this file in the /usr/share/doc/googleearth directory (see attachment)... I don't use fglrx drivers, but free ones
Thanks

That's a googleearth issue, not a packaging one. Since googleearth is a proprietary software, we have no control over it (except packaging the new upstream releases). Your only hope is probably Google Earth Community's Linux forum.
