Bug Description

Binary package hint: gaim

Using the latest Feisty, gaim 1:2.0.0+beta6-1ubuntu1.

I use several accounts in gaim, including irc and leave the conversations open. irc tends to reconnect much slower than jabber, when my laptop is suspended or gets disconnected otherwise. When I start typing a new message in a jabber tab, which is already reconnected, when an IRC tab gets reconnected gaim switches to it.

This behavior was already resolved in connection to other programs (gnome-terminal) by letting the window unfocused and blinking the window list item. However, inside gaim it stays the same.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu.
