Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-driver-ati

Hardware: HP Omnibook vt6200, ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY

When I start second x-session and logout that session, screen is then filled with garbage. This happen only with ati-driver, with vesa driver logout works fine.

These lines are printed in system log when this happens:

12.03.2007 19:36:50 Omnibook6200 kdm_greet[5157] Can't open default user face
12.03.2007 19:37:02 Omnibook6200 kdm_greet[5157] Internal error: memory corruption detected

This is also printed to kernel log:

Mar 12 20:01:03 Omnibook6200 kernel: [ 1328.980000] mtrr: no MTRR for e8000000,2000000 found

I got the same problem with an nvidia card, i.e., logging out from a second session makes the system crash. KDE just won't take any events anymore.

I think there is connection to antoher bug, let me look up the number.
