terminal crashes for dell latitude

Bug Description

installed several fiesty herds, currently on herd5.
booted system, logged on
tried to launch Applications|System|terminal

An empty terminal window came up for a moment then the screen went dark and a new xubuntu logon window was displayed.

Hi,

Thanks for your bug report.
Do you have an intel (i810) graphic chipset? If so, this is probably the same issue as described in Bug #91849.
