Bug Description

Binary package hint: esvn

With the actual version of svn 1.4.2 esvn is mostly unusable.
It seams to be that svn 1.4 is incompatible with esvn.

If you start esvn from konsole you can see the following output:

.svn/entries:1:1:error occurred while parsing element

I've found that problem is for example known at (can't read Turkish?)

http://bugs.pardus.org.tr/show_bug.cgi?id=4546

And if you look at the picture my screen looks exactly like that:

the bug is simple to reproduce. install svn+esvn
start esvn on check status - all is set to "Unknown"

I spent some time working with eSVN to see what would happen. First I believe my svn is version 1.4.3 (r23084). It seems as though things are partially working, although I have just tested a commit, etc. Things that did work:
checking logs
checking status on files
committing files
updating files

Things that didn't work:
all files/folders have a status of 'Unknown'.
Committing a folder. ( .svn/entries:1:1:error occurred while parsing element)

"Simple" enough, from Subversion 1.3 to 1.4 the file format changed, and since eSVN at the time didn't use the SVN library to check the local repository status, with Subversion 1.4 it broke.. :(
It looks like the next version of eSVN will fix this though, I tried the "trunk" version some months ago but it still needed some work.. I'd have offered to help but I couldn't reach the author by any means..

So, in the meanwhile, any suggestion on how to revert Subversion to 1.3? X-)

esvn doesn't work by me too :( I've installed "work bech" and use it now.

Didn't know about svn-workbench, a very nice program I'd say! Thanks for the tip :)

I didn't found in svn-workbaech who I can create new branch :( Finally I've installed another GUI client for Subversion - RapidSVN
It works in Feisty Fawn better, IMHO.
