This bug is in 12.04 as well.

The bug is also present when i compile the latest version of claws from the sources (3.8.1) and does not appear in the latest Debian testing (claws 3.8.1).

I have installed the latest PPA version as of now (3.9.1) and I am still experiencing this bug. There are also a number of other situations where I also get simialar behavior. It seems that many system dialog boxes break. I'm on Ubuntu 12.04.3 with Unity2D.

Another situation where I get the hang:
1. Configuration Menu -> Preferences for Current Account
2. Advanced Section
3. Select checkbox for any folder (e.g. put sent messages in...)
4. Click "Browse" button to see IMAP folders
5. Folder selector is unusable and doesn't accept keyboard or mouse input

However the original preferences window accepts keyboard/mouse input and after you close it, then you can close the folder selector (which now doesn't do anything anyway). This bug has been driving me crazy for over a year now... any chance of a fix soon?

I have just started using Claws and I am also finding this window focus bug in multiple situations as follows:
Menu Item-> Configuration->Actions->Edit Filter Action == The Edit Filter Actions window does not get focus. So you can't create a filter action.
Menu Item-> Configuration->Filtering->Define Actions == The Define Actions window does not get focus. So you can't create an action.
The above is the same for all three processing configuration options. This includes if they are opened from a folder right click or the main menu.

Effectively I am unable to create any Filter / Actions / Processing Rules.

I was originally on 3.8.1, I have just upgraded to 3.9.3 but the issue still exists.

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 with lightdm and the XFCE window manager.
