Bug Description

Binary package hint: avidemux

I am trying to convert a series of VOB (MPEG2-PS) files to OGM/x264/AC3. With my input files defined, and filters and so on configured, Avidemux appears to freeze when saving to OGM - however, there is activity evident in the background if one launches from a terminal instread of from an icon.

This behavious does not happen if AVI is selected as the output format instead of OGM - instead, there is a progress window.

It seems to happen only during the first pass of a 2-pass encode

I couldn't reproduce it with the 2.4 branch. I tried saving an MPEG-2 PS file to OGM (using Xvid in two-pass mode), and the progress dialog was shown during the first pass.

Does it still occur with your configuration?
