Progress bar misaligned at 640x480 resolution

I have a similar problem with Gutsy (AMD64) on my system (Mainboard: Asrock 939-Dual-SATA2, Graphics: Geforce 7600 GS PCI-Express). When I boot with the Tribe 4 or Tribe 5 live CD, the splash screen looks very similar to Conn's screenshot, I am attaching photos below that I have taken my with my camera while booting (on the first one the flash was disabled, so it looks a bit distorted on the picture). I am unsure if the splash is also shown at 640x480 on my system ('sudo usplash -c' doesn't show any hint) but it is possible.
With Tribe 3 or previous versions I didn't experience this behaviour.

I have the same problem: Dell Inspiron 510m that only can show 640x480 usplash and have misaligned progress bar. Says it cant use 1024x768 nor 800x600 although X.org supports them just fined both when entering gnome. I as well are using feisty.

As of Gutsy it seems as the misalignment is gone, but its still just 640x480..

Thanks for the feedback, my system is still 640x480, but at least the progress bar is aligned. I'm closing this bug as it's solved, so if you want to report a new issue, open a new bug. However, it will be unrelated to usplash; I suspect it would need to be filed against the kernel.

You can also try enabling a framebuffer at 1024x768@16bpp (I forget the code right now, sorry), but Gutsy is having issues with loading framebuffer modules. See bug #129910.
