Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Just load slacker.com

Page initially loads, can see the slacker player (which presumably is flash) but then the whole application closes. It doesn't hang, Firefox window closes and informs of crash.

I'm not the original reporter of the bug, but I duplicate it with edgy every time I try and load the page. I have attached my crash report to this comment.

Some symbols still *unretraced*. I'll leave this report assigned to John to see if he gets a better retrace.

Thank you for the bug report. Could you please install the firefox-dbg package and try to obtain a backtrace (or crash report) by following the instructions on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

Which flash package and version do you have installed?

I recreated the bug using gdb this time. I've attached the log to this, it looks like the problem is actually with the vlc plugin.

To answer your other questions,

Flash player 9,0,31,0 ubuntu package libswfec0.3 version 0.3.6-2ubuntu2
vlc, libvlc0, vlc-nox, mozilla-plugin-vlc, vlc-plugin-esd all packages are 0.8.6.release-0ubuntu1~edgy1
No Java JRE installed
I have no firefox extensions and only the default firefox theme installed.
