Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Xorg in Feisty has started to crash when watching videos. Happened to me at least with vlc and xine, I am not sure if it happened with totem-gstreamer, mplayer, or other players. It seems to happen randomly. After rebooting, a crash report was shown in the notification area and after clicking the icon the crash app came up (apport?). However when I clicked "send" the web browser did not open as it said it would. Therefore creating the report this way.

Turns out that the report or this particular instance is not in /var/crash anymore, but an older one is. Attaching this one

Closing due to lack of response from reporter.
However, I suspect this may be a dupe of other bug reports about Xorg crashing when watching video with composite turned on.

Sorry, I missed the need to answer. No, the issue went away. It was not because of composite, because I have to use the fglrx drivers which do not support it. (I have to because my graphics card, ATi Radeon X1300 is not supported by the free ati driver. (And yes, I forgot to mention that, sorry)
