[sorry for late reply, I guess I forgot to subscribe bugs from this package]
First of all, you're not using python-paste package. This bug comes from Egg (installed with eazy_install) - please don't mix debs and Eggs!
You've probably tried to start your app. twice and that's why you get "Address already in use" error.
