Bug Description

Binary package hint: alacarte

I just clicked a checkbox for a deactivated item, and it reported a crash (even though it didn't disappear). Since it didn't disappear, the more I clicked, the more crash reports I got. Decided to submit one.

Checkmarks were not filled in after the crash.

You've got broken permissions in your home dir. Try 'sudo chown neil:neil ~/.local' to fix it.

Changed in alacarte:
status: Unconfirmed → Rejected

I got he same bug,
I tried to 'sudo chown neil:neil ~/.local' by replacing "neil" with my username but it didn't worked.

I also have a problem when I try to change which program open a specific file.
It is impossible for me to change any option in alacarte or 'open with' in nautilus.

Thx for your help!

The above command also fixed my problem, however this appears to be a bug in Fiesty? A default install ends up landing the user with incorrect permissions, any chance in this being fixed?

Thanks
