Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

I had multiple nautilus windows open. One of them crashed while I was editing a text file. I had recently (within the prior 30 minutes) installed the "It's all text" firefox add-on, so that I could do my TWiki editing with GVim. I don't know if there's any connection between these things.

I have been having problems with nautilus hanging sometimes when attempting to read a directory, or connect to a remote system using ssh. In both of *these* situations the directory remains unreadable, or the ssh destination is effectively unreachable, for all subsequent instances of nautilus. Rebooting makes the problem go away. I haven't tried just restarting gnome.

Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption. Could you try to get a valgrind log for it (you can follow the instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that)?
