Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.15-26-386

I'm running Skype 1.3.0.53_API on Ubuntu 6.06 on an Averatec 5500 Series laptop. These are the steps to reproduce my problem:

1. Start skype
2. Suspend to RAM
3. Wake up
(all other programs seem to work correctly after waking up)
4. Click on the green call button in skype to make a call
5. System freezes, even the Caps Lock key doesn't work

If I reboot, skype works again. I think this is a kernel issue, but I don't know how to further diagnose the problem since the system is frozen completely.

A painful work around for this bug is to restart skype after waking up my laptop every time.

Launchpad Janitor (janitor) wrote : This bug is now reported against the 'linux' package

Beginning with the Hardy Heron 8.04 development cycle, all open Ubuntu kernel bugs need to be reported against the "linux" kernel package. We are automatically migrating this linux-source-2.6.15 kernel bug to the new "linux" package. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this transition. Also, if you would be interested in testing the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release, it is available at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . Please let us know your results. Thanks!
