Bug Description
Binary package hint: evms
In Ubuntu 6.06 and newer the snapshot feature in EVMS is not working properly. One can create a snapshot but you can't remove it unless you umount the *origin* volume. I think this as something to do with a new feature of dm present in recent kernels:

In feisty it doesn't work too but the simptoms are different in dapper and feisty. In dapper you can't remove the snapshot unless you umount the origin. In feisty you can't even create the snapshot. (I'm only using dapper LTS, but made a quick test in feisty just to see if it was working there)
This is very easy to reproduce. You can even install ubuntu-minimal inside a qemu/vmware and try. But if someone wants logs and step-by-step instructions, just ask.
Also, this is an upstream bug and AFAIK there is no fix yet.

Nuno
