Bug Description

Binary package hint: lyx

When scrolling the LyX window in a document with several Figure Floats, I notice that the mouse wheel does not cause the view to move always by a constant distance. Particularly when moving past the figures, the view jumps often fairly large jumps, such that you are no longer sure quite where you are.

Mouse-wheel scrolling in lyx should be by fixed screen-distance per mouse-wheel increment.

Should be fixed by LyX 1.5.6 (not yet included in Debian/Ubuntu). Please see Bug 253196.

You might want to try out the LyX 1.5.6 package in Andres Riofrio's PPA and see if this fixes your problem.

Apparently fixed in LyX 1.6.0-1 (Ubuntu Jaunty). Please also test yourself with LyX 1.6.0-1 and report if the bug still occurs. Bug 297941 is a backport request for LyX 1.6.0-1 to Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10.
