Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nv

ii xserver-xorg-v 1.2.0-0ubuntu2 X.Org X server -- NV display driver

- Start GIMP and load your favourite image.
- Move the mouse over the image.

The mouse movement leaves a trace of black dots behind it. This is only the case if the cursor is some fancy GIMP cursor (brush, etc) and not the standard arrow.

Workaround:
add to xorg.conf in the Section "Screen":

        Option "XaaNoSolidTwoPointLine"

/Bernd

I can reproduce it here with kubuntu edgy eft and Option "XaaNoSolidTwoPointLine" indeed does fix the issue

(Can folks reply within the bug rather than private mail though - I'm prone to losing responses that aren't in the bugs themselves)

Bernd:
I'll leave this bug in needsinfo but there's a chance it will be closed at some point since you can't retest (PS: _in theory_ you should be able to test this problem from a liveCD and thus not have to install anything).
