Bug Description

Binary package hint: php-pear

In Breezy Badger, XML/RPC.php was provided for php4 in the php-pear package. In Dapper Drake, the XML/RPC.php has been removed from php-pear in favor of the php5-xmlrpc package which has a binary xmlrpc.so -- however for those of us with Apache 1.3, we're stuck with mod_php4, which means we don't have an option for XML/RPC.php within the package system.

It would be great if you'd create a php4-xmlrpc package with the files removed from php-pear between breezy and dapper.

Thanks!

It's available via pear. The following two commands fixes it for me (on a Dapper system):
sudo apt-get install php-pear
sudo pear install XML_RPC

Closing the bug. Feel free to reopen (or stop by #ubuntu-server on irc (on freenode)) if you have any further problems.
