Bug Description

Binary package hint: digikam

Hello,

I just update to feisty, and i try to scan in digikam by clicking in album --> import --> Scan Images... and Digikam crash.
I get this in the console: "digikam: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/sane/libsane-hpaio.so.1: undefined symbol: sanei_init_debug"

I have a HP PSC1610 one-in-one.
One other problem, digikam and kopete are in english whereas I put the French kde packages.

I can reproduce it there on uptodate feisty installation.

I've reassigned from digikam to hplib pkg that contains
libsane-hpaio. Maybe the change was in libsane, so feel
free to reassing once more.

Raghu, Don, can you check this? There is perhaps a bug in the hpaio SANE driver.

This has been addressed in 1.7.3 (due to be released late this week or early next)

Bug solved with hplip 1.7.3, it should be integrated to final release or just post a fix for 1.7.2, but please don't let this but in final release.

They are on their way into Feisty.

Can you do the tests described in bug 98520 (2nd posting)? This way we can decide whether we solve this problem bia HPLIP 1.7.3 or by patching HPLIP 1.7.1.
